Primary School Awards Day 2016

The Festival was colorful and fun.  The Awards Day is a celebration of the Academic Achievements.   All the students in our program received certificates of recognition/graduation and so are featured in this BLOG.  We are especially pleased to tell you that the Grade 5 and 6 winners of awards for the highest marks were our students, Kevin, Laura N, Laura P, Fernanda,  Jesús and  Lezli.                                  We are proud of them as are their sponsors! Hilary, Laura N and  Fernanda have been chosen to be part of the Honor Guard, called the Escolta, next year because of their excellent marks. Primary School Graduation 2016: ( Escuela Primaria Clausura 2016)  12 of our students are graduating from Grade 6 to Grade 7.  This means a change in schools and, of course, a fiesta!  ...Most students are going onto the Telesecundaria in Chuburná Puerto; with one other going to Progreso.  The time and effort put into this event every year by teachers, parents and students is amazing. Congratulations to our "graduados" .. Abel, Adan, Elin, Harold, Hilda, Kevin M, Kevin P, Laura, Lezli, Luis, Milagros and Yanjari.  and THANKS to our sponsors and supporters for being part of their success as they continue along the path towards a high school diploma.  The graduates asked their mom/dad for a dance.. The Gifts That Keeps on Giving (Bazar y Inauguracíon)

Hello everyone... Yesterday was our successful   CLOTHING SALE & OPEN HOUSE for our Office/Computer Centre in Chuburná Puerto... BEFORE THE RIBBON CUTTING we sold the clothes many of you bring to us in your suitcases each year. These are the gifts that keep on giving...as   MODEL CLOTHES  at the Fashion Show BOUTIQUE SALES of which we made 11,000 pesos. ON SALE  for the WOMEN OF CHUBURNA PUERTO where we made 2,300 pesos for the maintenance of the laptops their children use at the centre. Everyone was excited and wanted to know when we are doing this again. SO please keep packing & bringing those gently used clothes .
