El Programa de Apoyo Escolar de Chuburná Puerto A.C.

The Festival was colorful and fun.  The Awards Day is a celebration of the Academic Achievements.   All the students in our program received certificates of recognition/graduation and so are featured in this BLOG.  We are especially pleased to tell you that the Grade 5 and 6 winners of awards for the highest marks were our students, Kevin, Laura N, Laura P, Fernanda,  Jesús and  Lezli.                                  We are proud of them as are their sponsors! Hilary, Laura N and  Fernanda have been chosen to be part of the Honor Guard, called the Escolta, next year because of their excellent marks. Every Monday the Honor Guard is part of the ceremony to begin the week, including a poem about the flag and the singing of the Mexican anthem.  They also preside over all special events  Passing the flag to the new Honor Guard  Hilda receives her recognition for being  in the Honor Guard  Laura P receives her award for being in the Honor Guard  Fernanda

Primary School Graduation 2016: ( Escuela Primaria Clausura 2016)  12 of our students are graduating from Grade 6 to Grade 7.  This means a change in schools and, of course, a fiesta!  ...Most students are going onto the Telesecundaria in Chuburná Puerto; with one other going to Progreso.  The time and effort put into this event every year by teachers, parents and students is amazing. Congratulations to our "graduados" .. Abel, Adan, Elin, Harold, Hilda, Kevin M, Kevin P, Laura, Lezli, Luis, Milagros and Yanjari.  and THANKS to our sponsors and supporters for being part of their success as they continue along the path towards a high school diploma.  The graduates asked their mom/dad for a dance..
