FUNDRAISING EQUALS EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

There are two aspects to our program:

2) Educational Support for ALL STUDENTS of Chuburná paid for by fundraising:

Ten years of the Annual Fundraiser, My Sister´s Closet Fashion Show, Boutique and Silent Auction.

Annual dinners hosted at the homes of various supporters..(Sax on the Beach) ( Swine & Dine) ( Life´s A Beach)

2020: COVID 19: virtual fundraiser instead of our Annual Fashion Show. The Roaring 20´s fundraiser was a success...We made 100,750 pesos to ensure the continuance of our programs.                                       

Because of the success of the generosity of so many,  we have provided the following educational supports to all the students of Chuburná Puerto since 2013.                      

2013: Middle School Computer Center: together with the World School of Boston and the School Administration an empty space between two buildings became a computer centre.            

2013: Educación Inicial... The first education program for parents and children 0-3 yrs.

 The almost empty room and shelves were filled by our program with large lego building blocks, puzzles, various stacking and matching toys, a CD player, arts and crafts materials. We also purchased 2 play carpets, snap together mats, 5 plastic chairs, a water dispencer and cleaning supplies, toilet paper and cups.

2020:  Expanded 2 classrooms at the Primary

In one classroom the students had to climb over desks to get to their own.        We doubled the size of both.                                                                         

What a great partnership this was because the school had a grant for improvements which did not include construction.  We had fundraising money for the construction!  The students are going to be very excited when they return to school!

It does take a village for this all to happen.....Thanks for being part of ours!!!!
